Florida Concealed Carry Weapon
Florida Concealed Carry
Weapon/Firearm License Class
Available for Florida and Non-Florida Residents
Course Overview
Whether you're brand new to firearms or have been shooting for years, our Florida Concealed Carry class gives you the knowledge, hands-on training, and official certification you need to apply for your Florida Concealed Weapon/Firearm License. This is the most popular class we offer — and for good reason.
In just over two hours, you'll cover Florida's concealed carry laws, firearm safety fundamentals, proper shooting technique, and complete the required live-fire qualification — all in one visit, all on our premises. No separate range trip. No hassle. You'll walk out with a certificate in hand that never expires.
What to Expect
We've made this as simple as possible. Just bring yourself, a valid ID, and your payment (cash, check, or credit card). We handle everything else:
- All equipment provided — We supply the firearm, ammunition, and sanitized eye & ear protection. There is nothing you need to buy or bring.
- Shoot on-site — Live-fire qualification is completed right here on our premises. No driving to a separate range like most other classes require.
- Certificate never expires — Your completion certificate is valid forever. No renewals, no re-testing — one and done.
- Perfect for beginners — Even if you've never held a firearm, this class will get you comfortable and confident. No experience necessary.
- Valuable for experienced shooters too — We guarantee you'll pick up something new, whether it's a legal nuance or a technique refinement.
Getting Your License After Class
Once you have your certificate, the next step is scheduling an appointment with the Florida Department of Agriculture, Tampa Regional Office. You can call them at (813) 337-5377 or schedule online.
At your appointment, you'll complete three quick steps:
- Fill out the application electronically
- Have your fingerprints taken via live scan
- Have your photo taken on-site
Bring a valid photo ID (Driver's License) and payment of $97 (check, money order, Mastercard, or Visa) for a 7-year license. As long as your background check clears, you should have your license in hand within approximately 4 weeks.
When it's time to renew, the Department of Agriculture will reach out to you well in advance. Renewals run about $65, no new photo is needed, and no appointment is required — it's a quick and easy process.
